Principal

Peng Zhao has been with LOPEZGARCIA GROUP for seven years. As the firm’s transit engineering department manager, Peng manages various light rail, rapid bus and commuter rail projects for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T), Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA), Metropolitan Transportation Authority of Harris County (METRO) and Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro).

Peng has served a variety of municipal clients. He was LOPEZGARCIA GROUP’s project manager for the master plan phase of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) project and was selected to continue as project manager for the final design for the DCPA.

Peng received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the South China Institute of Technology. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
